Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13 1962) is an American actor from the United States. In 1983, following her debut film Bad Boys starring as a Brat Pack member in WarGames '83 as well as The Breakfast Club '85 she was a well-known part of this group. The performance of Sheedy in Lisa Cholodenko's High Art (2000) won her the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Actress. Ally Sheedy has been an American writer and actor for over twenty years. Her film career began at the beginning of the 1980s when she appeared in the crime-drama film Bad Boys, for which she earned a lot of praise. The film of Rick Rosenthal also featured Sean Penn and Esai Morales Clancy Brown & Alan Ruck. Her debut success led her to appear in The Breakfast Club, a 1985 comedy-drama. John Hughes' film is widely regarded as one of the best high school movies of all time. Though the budget was only $1 million, the film's earnings surpassed the mark of $50 million. While she was doing this her first appearance on television took place on CBS Schoolbreak. It was a program specifically for teens that began airing beginning in April 1980. Other shows on TV she was in included Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid and Hill Street Blues. The most recent of her appearances is Little Sister. Another one, X-Men Apocalypse a story featuring a female superhero in which she has a cameo. Sheedy has won many prizes in 2005 for her performance. She was also awarded with the MTV Movie Award, Silver Bucket of Excellence Award.
